George Hoover, Jr., co-founded Torrey Growth and Income Advisors in 2006 with a vision to provide independent, relationship-driven financial advice rooted in trust and long-term thinking. He has nearly three decades of industry experience, including time at AG Edwards and Smith Barney, before starting Torrey Growth alongside his late father.

Prior to entering finance, George was a small business owner and world-class professional triathlete, competing internationally and ranking top ten at the Ironman. That same discipline and endurance now define his approach to wealth management: focused, strategic, and built for the long haul.

Outside the office, you’ll find George chasing new challenges in the mountains and the ocean. He’s an avid rock climber, skier, and lifelong surfer. His passion for performance and perseverance translates directly to the client relationships he’s nurtured over decades.
